Hello there!

Hello there and welcome to A Cup of Tea!

This is my first blog post and I wanted to take a moment and write a snippet about my intentions
for this blog.

To skip running round the mulberry bush I’ll get right to the point. There are tons of blogs out there on
the lovely invention we call the world wide web and yes this is another one but I pray that it is not just
another blog but instead just what God wants it to be.

Throughout the everyday events of my life God has taught me and blessed me with more than I would
know what to do with on my own, He has therefore given me the wisdom of what to do with what He has
taught me. I have been through the mundane, the ordinary, the challenging and trying as well as the
abundant, the joyful and the exuberant and praise the Lord He gave us the Holy Spirit to teach and guide
us through it all.

Since this has been a bit of a jumble I’ll be clearer. My vision, or dream for this blog is simply for
Christian women; women whose goal in life is to follow Christ in every way and become more and more
like Him every day (1 Peter 1:15-16, Romans 12:2), to join together to encourage and build each other up
(Galatians 6:2, Ecclesiastes 4:9-10) to be in the Word together and to pray for and advise each other in
the ways of the Lord and be unordinary followers of Christ together. I do not by any means profess to be
anything out of the ordinary but I do profess that our God is entirely out of the ordinary and as in
John 14:12 says “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and
even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.” Let’s step out in faith and take Jesus up
on His word, let’s get uncomfortable and be bold with the way we live, let’s see what God has in store!
