a collection of lessons and life
I have always enjoyed writing and as I have journeyed through my life the Lord has watered, pruned, and shaped this humble talent of mine. Here is a collection of poems I composed that follow my resurrection and growth.
I hope you enjoy them but more importantly it is my prayer that you are blessed and that God receives all of the glory for the work He has done in me.
With many prayers and much joy in Christ,
-Savanah
Ode to Seven
A funeral of white
full of hope and beauty
night and darkness
gone
The curtain torn
The door unlocked and flung wide
the key holder
my rescuer
I don't understand
but Grace
upon Grace
upon Grace
a funeral of white
Once upon a time
began
before I knew that it was over
forever
two cups and a saucer
A Haiku
Years go by slowly
when, where, how will I wake up
rain begins to fall
Ode to 15
Dreams
oh dreams
their reality confirmed
I try and try and try and try
I fall
I trip
around the corner there is
a candle
with a beautiful name
forever mine
I'm still a dunce
Another Haiku
Pressed down shaken together
the mountains loom overhead
peace for me from you
Ode to 18
Bitter cold wind sneaks in
leaving snowflakes of sunshine in its wake
Ode to 18 cont.
The green grass grew all around and around
the green grass grew all around
Selah
Inward turning
unfolding
refined and shaped
molded and pruned
beautiful mind
beautiful mine
truly?
Another Haiku 2
Pink. rosy and pink
dry ground burns beneath my feet
we have reached the peak
An Ode
A prayer
honesty
truly me
a little rosemary
a little time
something grand
something that once was bland
the lens was all wrong
foggy and cloudy
birds that sing, that soar
that fall.
oh His eye that traces them all
Final Haiku
The rain keeps falling
I lay down and sleep in peace
time keeps going by
This picture is of horrible quality but I still like it
These poems are the literary equivalent of a girl in stripes (the horizontal ones)
